Web Content Editor

The Web Content Editor is a Web savvy communications specialist with the ability to simplify and clearly present detailed information for the College Web site. The Web Content Editor will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will use common formatting practices to produce and maintain Web pages and HTML emails. Although this is not a Developer position, experience with HTML is required, and familiarity with CSS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare copy for and update Web site content and broadcast emails
Work with Marketing and College stakeholders to write and edit ads, brochures and other print collateral
Work with Web team to conduct student surveys and analyze user testing to redesign the Web site
Work with other College departments to improve content and its presentation in all areas of the Web site
Ensure consistency of content across Web site and other written materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, English, or related subject matter required
Minimum 2-3 years experience in writing Web-based communications
Previous experience with customized content for individual users or Oracle Portal is a major plus
Ability to multitask and work in teams is essential.
